The short version

StressTide does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Your health readings, logs and settings are stored only on your iPhone.

Nothing about your body ever leaves your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics — see the details below.

What StressTide reads from Apple Health

With your permission, StressTide reads — read-only — your heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep, workouts and steps from Apple Health. It never writes anything back to Apple Health.

These signals are used only to estimate your stress on your device. You can revoke access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.

Where your data lives

Everything StressTide creates — your tide readings, the factors behind them, your logs and reset history, and your preferences — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage.

StressTide has no server and no account. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else.

What we don’t do

No accounts or sign-ups. No analytics or tracking SDKs. No advertising. No third-party data sharing. No selling or processing of personal data of any kind. StressTide includes no analytics or crash-reporting service — nothing about you is sent off your device.

Subscriptions

StressTide Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; StressTide never sees your payment details. Apple may share anonymized, aggregate purchase information with us as part of standard App Store reporting.

Notifications

Any reminders are scheduled locally on your device and never leave it. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or your system preferences.

Data export and deletion

You are always in control. StressTide lets you export a full copy of your data as CSV and JSON, or delete everything it stores on your iPhone, at any time in Settings. Deleting the app also removes its on-device data.

Children

StressTide does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children — there is nothing collected to begin with.

Not a medical device

StressTide offers an interpretation of body signals. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical concerns.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of StressTide adds optional online features, this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will be opt-in.
